It was a rough summer here in Houston. Hurricane Harvey really through us for a loop. Houston experienced an unprecedented flood episode during Harvey in which we broke the rainfall record for the continental U.S. It's not a record we aspired to and it destroyed a lot of peoples lives.
But now as we are recovering, we are happy to be celebrating the Astros win over the Yankees that put them in the running to win the world series. Houston has happily rallied around the Astros and this city is lit up with orange!
And if we're being honest, we think we might have an advantage in game 1 as the temperatures in Los Angeles are expected to soar near 100 degrees. We're used to baseball in that kind of weather, with temps often hitting or exceeding that in our hot Houston summers.
We don't know who will win, but one thing is for sure...Texas and California have had a heck of a year!
